Loan Modifications and Forensic Loan Audits: Assisting Delinquent Borrowers

This class is also approved for Realtor clock hours in Washington State.
A loan modification is the altering of one or more of the characteristics of a loan such as rate, term or principal balance due to the borrower’s inability to make payments.  This four hour course is designed to help students learn about loan modifications, loss mitigation strategies, forensic loan audits, and review how events such as a short sale, foreclosure, or loan modification effect a person’s credit score. With over 50% of loan mods re-defaulting, loan originators must use diligence to ensure homeowners are well served with a loan mod instead of other solutions for delinquent homeowners. Through the use of lecture, quizzes, case studies, and small group exercises, students will gain an understanding of loan mods so they can empower homeowners with knowledge to make informed decisions.
